PlateSmart to Unveil LPR Engine for High Definition Cameras at IACP Show in Orlando

PlateSmart Technologies, the creator of the world’s first software-only solutions for License Plate Recognition (LPR), will be showcasing its groundbreaking new LPR engine at the IACP Conference in Orlando. The new engine, which features support for High Definition (HD) surveillance cameras, promises to be a major advancement in security technology.
PlateSmart’s new HD engine supports surveillance cameras with resolutions of 2, 3, and 5 megapixels, which brings a multitude of benefits for end-users. At the higher resolutions, it becomes possible to record a wide-angle overview of an area while simultaneously scanning all plates that pass through the frame. This provides a maximum of situational awareness from a single camera. Other benefits of PlateSmart’s HD support include single-camera LPR scanning of multiple lanes of traffic. High-definition LPR capability is the latest innovation in what has already been a banner year for PlateSmart.
