Global IP surveillance solution provider strengthens relationship with PlateSmart

OLDSMAR, Fla. — Dec. 3, 2019 — Global IP surveillance solution provider VIVOTEK Inc. had been availing itself of integration with PlateSmart Technologies’ award-winning PlateSmart ARES® automatic license plate recognition (LPR) software. It recently strengthened that relationship with another PlateSmart integration: Powered by PlateSmart™.
“One of the benefits of Powered by PlateSmart is the ease with which it can be integrated with other business solutions,” said Webb Wang, chief technology officer, PlateSmart. “We integrated it with VIVOTEK’s VAST 2 video management system using a simple plugin. Powered by PlateSmart just reads the plates, extracts the data and sends it to VAST 2, where searches and viewing can be done.”
Built upon AI and deep machine learning, Powered by PlateSmart was developed to allow solution providers to easily extend their solutions to include the vehicle data PlateSmart can provide. This includes the license plate, its state jurisdiction, vehicle make and color. Soon Powered by PlateSmart will be able to address vehicle orientation (front, rear or side) and type for even more actionable vehicle data.
