Florida Hospital Orlando is a member of the Adventist Health System, a nationwide non-profit organization that runs 44 hospital campuses with nearly 8,300 licensed beds in 10 states. Florida Hospital itself has 1,528 beds and treats more patients in a given year than any other hospital in the U.S. The hospital has been rated as the best in the State of Florida two years in a row by U.S. News and World Report. Additionally, the magazine has ranked Florida Hospital among the top three percent of hospitals in the country.
Overseen by the Tampa Port Authority, the port handles both commercial and passenger traffic on a daily basis. In addition to being a major hub of the shipping industry – several million tons of cargo are shipped in and out of the port in any given year – the port is also a departure point for some of the world’s best known cruise lines. Port Tampa Bay also runs and maintains its own ship repair facilities.
